I also am confused by the "no orders older than a few days left to ship" as I am awaiting an order from Black Friday as well. Is something else meant by this? Thanks all for the active responses!
We're checking this with our distributor as we speak. The info received was not completely accurate, as it didn't account for orders still unshipped due to pre-order items or items out of stock. You can send me a PM with your order info, so I can check.

For any of those in the US, still awaiting your packages, and not already signed up for USPS Informed Delivery, I suggest you head to USPS.com and sign up. It's free.

I currently show that I have two packages in "Pre Shipment" at USPS from Saginaw, MI, which we were told is where the distributor is located. With the holidays, I definitely expect this to take a bit longer than usual, as the labels were created on Dec. 28 & 29 for my two packages, but the USPS is still awaiting the items.

Just FYI for anyone feeling anxious. Hope this helps.

Are Black Friday orders still backlogged at this point, or should I go ahead and send a status request?

I am following up on items missing from my order (Free League Publishing order FRIA1328223). I have sent emails regarding the missing items since July 2023. The latest email on Jan 12 2024, has not yet received a response. So here I place my next message in a bottle, hoping someone on a distant shore sees my message and responds.
