According to Gaska [1] - Alien Isolation is "Tier 1" canon and the Alien Blueprints are "absolutely" canon (tier 2) unless overridden by a later production.
Seems reasonable enough until ... today when I assembled a layered 3D map of the Nostromo from the blueprints book and compared it to the 3D map of the Nostromo from Isolation.
A Decks match up - B and C decks ... not even close.
So - now the canon conflicts with itself? Nah - I think I have a handwave that I can live with which I came here to share for anyone else it might help:
The ALIEN Blueprints book represents the deckplans as the Nostromo was originally architected - it has geology workrooms and such suitable to a lander/surveyor.
Isolation represents the Nostromo as she was *after* the refit to bigger engines for towing... interiors were refit around to add tankage or whatever.
So that is going to be my approach ... and the point of the exercise was to get a set of much more detailed deckplans to use for the Montero if needed in future games.
Keep having fun with the beast - but keep your face out from in front of any strange eggs ...
