Converting Forbidden Lands Monsters to T2K?

Has anyone looked into adding fantasy monsters to T2K? I'm thinking of doing something along the lines of the Reign of Fire movie.

I think that's cool, I'm actually surprised how little kit bashing of YZE games is discussed, at least on these forums. There's some precedent in T2K original. I think the second edition put out a Twilight Nightmares books, Merc:2000 had a mix of official and fan created mashups of the Merc:2000 universe and the "cthulhupunk" (sorta a mix of CoC and Cuyberpunk) genre that had a hot minute in the late 90s with the rise of "gothic punk" games like World of Darkness. In fact I think GDW had something called Dark Conspiracy that was a sort of monsters and human bad actors lurking the shadows of a slightly more nightmarish world than our own (again a lot of people were buying World of Darkness games and a lot of game companies were trying to put elements of it into their systems).

Of course Reign of Fire is a next level monster incursion to the games I'm talking about. I think T2K with its scavenging rules makes it useful. I don't know if you want to do dragons v humans with T2K level weaponry (and how to handle a flying dragon vs humans requires some air to ground and and anti-air mechanics that you might find in Alien?) or more like the lower tech arsenals you see in Reign of Fire. The superheroics of aerial dragon wrestling, I'm not sure what system you might want to develop for that, maybe Urban Operations if it improves CQB to include melee, but CQB isn't dragon wrestling.

Anyway, sounds cool, you could probably bluntly slap things in with some rough stat converstions, but there's also a lot of space to homebrew more specific game systems for dealing with dragons.

If you want to go the Reign of Fire way dragons where almost unkillable by conventional means. Nuclear bombs favored them as they seemed to be immune to radiation and feed from ashes. They also reproduced very fast like a nasty plague of insects.

There may be some magic involved as dragons like those shouldn't be able to fly, specially that agile, in a world with real physics at least. They were vulnerable if hit in the mouth though. Maybe magic in their scales.

The movie didn't expanded much and I don't know if there is some lore but the main feature is to make them highly armored, tank level armor and agile enough to dodge a rocket or missile if alert.

You may have more variety of monsters but I would go with treating them like armored vehicles and maybe even creating critical damage tables for the monsters, maybe a few categories like Giants (trolls, ogres, etc), Dragons, Undead, etc. Maybe not as much detail as human character critical damage tables though.

If you want to introduce more magic I think it will be better with another game system, i don't know how MYZ treat that or other special powers, but may be a good idea to look at it.
