Engine Status Chariot of the Gods

Mon 17 Oct 2022, 02:17

Hi All,

I searched and could not find an answer to this question. In Act 2, there are two events. T Minus Ten Minutes and Breaking Loose. T-Minus Ten is mandatory and states the Cronus' engines are offline. However, Breaking Loose, optional, states the engines are online. So, which is it? Or should it have been written stating if the engines are offline or online, choose how the PCs can separate the ships?

Thank you

it's been a long time since i've played this game (Chariot of the Gods).

T-minus ten minutes = Mother is going to blow up the Montero (if PCs refuse to go examine the Cronus) so PCs need to go on the Cronus. that's the only reason.

Breaking Loose = Cutting the umbilical so that the Cronus will distance itself from the Montero. And yes engines of the Montero will work if it's for autopilot the ship far from the Cronus (cause it was a malfunction). Simply to give the edge to Game Mother to bring all PCs on the Cronus. That's the reason. Engines of the Cronus are not working at that time (I think) but Cronus has some kind of velocity vector movement.
