Sun 18 Sep 2022, 04:14

i keep seeing promotional material talking about pre-ordering TOR2E for D&D 5E. Any idea when that pre-order will go live?

There has been no news about it since the official announcement which states "autumn" for the pre-order and Q1 2023 for the physical copy.

If we look at how it worked with "Ruins of the Lost realm" which was just open to pre-order a few days ago and is going to be availble in stores around october 25th, so around 1 month and a half of "pre-order time", I would guess the 5e edition will be avaible for pre-order in late autumn, around november/december, and be in stores around january/february.

Anyway, everything relating to the 5e edition has been delayed so many time since the first mention of it in early 2021, I'm afraid we still have some waiting to do.

It's out now! I just pre-ordered, but I'm not sure how the PDF via DriveThruRPG works. Any idea?

UPDATE: I received a system-generated email with a DriveThru code about 10 mins after purchase!

I've bought it. Everything's confirmed. How do I access the pdf content? Shouldn't I have been sent a link or something? I've checked my spam folder.

sometimes the email notification gets missing. In that case you usually find the same notification in the inbox of your dtrpg account.
if your email account here differs from the dtrpg one, that might require a manual interaction (unless during the order process you had to specify the account somewhere).

These are at least usual effects when dtrpg is used to fulfill on ks for example, might hold here as well.

As I've been saying over in the LOTR 5e specific forum, FL have to send the DriveThru codes in batches. There's some lovely person sat at a computer doing some horrible bland repetitive data entry to get info from their eCommerce platform over to DriveThruRPG via a spreadsheet (probably).

Thank you. I'm just eager and impatient. I will wait a little longer.
