That's what I'm hoping for. Something simple and sweet like Mutant... maybe something with a little more oomph than a scrap cannon though;)

This being said... Take a look at this a friend sent me... The SHERP!

This looks like the perfect low-tech vehicle for those untamed alien environments (heck... It even looks like it was inspired by the Explorer from "Star Frontiers").

One thing I've been wondering, you say a ship starts with a certain amount of modules, is is there a limit on how many moduales you can add to a class 3 ship before it becomes a class 4?
Or is there a maximum number per size and the reactors can't take any more after that?
Thanks
Gary

No, there's no limit - no matter how many modules you add through Options, the class will always be what it started with. It's going to be terribly expensive adding all those modules, though...

Well, costs vary wildly between classes, but a class 3 ship's base cost is 1 000 000 birr (birr is the currency, btw) and Modules have set costs, while Options add a percentage to the ship's cost. A clarification here: when we say "free modules" they're free as in free choice (pick whichever you want), but they all add to the cost of the ship. And the higher the total cost of the ship, the more in debt the group will start out.
Modules: a standard cabin (which holds a different number of people depending on the ship's class) costs 25 000 birr, a chapel costs 10 000 and a stasis module costs 25 000.
Options: a resesarch computer adds 5% to the cost of the ship, atmospheric propulsion adds 10% and extra modules adds 20% (so rather expensive then).
