"If one OR MORE of the following events have taken place in the session, the unit morele inreases one step"
So no, only one step according to RAW.
Increases in morale are a pretty big gain for the team. Personally I run very tight ship on this one. I like to look at the "big picture" of the session. If the unit didn't really do anything that special except travel one hex and sit on their asses it doesn't feel right to increaes the morale. But even then according to RAW it should rise, but max one step/session.

Yeah, I agree personally, more than one step increase seems a little easy on the group, especially considering the grim nature of the setting.

Thanks.

Characters are not static like plastic miniatures that are facing only direction. A character, normally, has line of sight in all directions unless it is blocked (p.60)

The Referee should also apply some common sense here, like two characters should be considered to have line of sight, for Unit Morale purposes even if one of them is currently hiding behind a wall.
Agreed, Unit morale is about taking/having more courage due to your buddies/support nearby (hence the line of sight...you can see/know that they are near), so I would agree that knowing/hearing someone from your unit is on other side of wall should still count to help CUF rolls ("I'm freaking out, man." "Stay strong, I am right here with you"). So if they can't see (line of sight) but can hear their ally (free action to shout over the wall/confirm "Hey, you there?", "Ya, I am right here")

Adding a die for unit morale is about having help/assistance/support of your friendly close allies/buddies.
