Not sure if this comes up somewhere else in the planned rules but why not call Resolve Stress? You take 1 stress to your resolve -- just call it Stress as a stat name to simplify the rules for non-gamers. Suffer Stress to your Stress makes so much more sense and then when you hit 0, you are STRESSED OUT! Invincible centers on a younger, but more accurately mature, supers ideology and to me, players will relate more from a role playing perspective with that one simple status description. Pg. 22 of the free material even calls the section STRESS -- embrace the word by making it the Stat name
Agreed about having it be ONE name (either stress or resolve). I think for Invincible, "resolve" works better (resoluteness, will to go on, mental foritude).
"I kinda like that Stress is to Damage, what Health/Hit Points are to Resolve". You take a stress hit to resolve, you take damage hit to health (HP). Yep, agreed. But it can cause a bit of confusion as people/players don't have the easy-common association with stress-resolve as with damage-health (hp).
I think it helps YZE GMs to have "stress" name due to use in the other games. Loose 1 "resolve" should be the standard and you could put in qualifier, loose 1 resolve due to stress.
Shrug, it can't be easy to reskin the mechanic with different words.

Roll recon, I mean observation, I mean (oh what did they call it in this game again).
