Wow, thanks so much for this super high-res map. I'm new to playing/DM'ing TOR 2e (or LOTR 5e, haven't decided yet) and was wondering how people use this map in their actual campaigns. Do you let players 'find' it early on so they have a reference or do you use it as an actual wilderness map for players to walk around on? And is there a player version where 'perilous areas' are hidden since they'd probably just want to avoid those if they know of them upfront? Either way, thanks so much for this amazing resource!

I go with the rulebook's suggested approach - players have access to the map, but the version at the front without the game mechanics on it, rather than the one at the back with different coloured hexes, perilous areas etc. Heroes can learn about perilous areas from NPCs, travel rolls and other in-game research. More information makes the game more interesting, as it prompts decisions!

Although even with knowledge of perilous areas, heroes often still go through them if they're part of the quest and in the way.
