Foundry is difficult need assistance

Sat 31 May 2025, 23:32

I purchased both the Core rules and the Urban warfare module.
Core rules says it includes the following:

180+ Actors (NPCs, Vehicles, Military forces, Animals)

300+ Journal Entries (Lore, Rules and Art)

470+ Items, ranging from weapons, ammunitions, gear, specialties and critical injuries

20 Rolltables, with everything from random encounters to critical injuries

23 Scenes, including Battlemaps, Poland and Sweden maps with military forces, and Scenario Sites with Walls and Pins

5 Useful Macros

Around 80 arts (in addition to the 80 weapon arts) and 120 tokens

I got the core rules loaded, but It has nothing that accesses all the content. No actors, journal entries, items, rolltables, scenes OR tokens. None of it. I figured (after much trial and error) how to load the module. It has all the extra content for that, but nothing for the core rules. What am I doing wrong folks? Sorry for being such a Foundry noob, I am used to Fantasy Grounds for my VTT.

There are people that visit this forum that knows this stuff, you have better luck finding people that knows this stuff over at Year Zero Worlds discord or Foundry VTT discord (where free league have a channel).

Did you import the modules after installing?

I ask because I have seen some other folks tripped up on that.

Usually when you install the modules and open up your game world, a screen (box) will show the coreset (and/or hostile waters, black madonna, urban operations) that then has an import button to import into your world all the content (actors, roll tables, scenes etc). You can bring up the import screen/button again from the compendium tab if I recall correctly.

Installing a lot of modules all at once can sometimes cause the import screens to get lost in the shuffle of all the pop-ups (or not pop up at all). At least in my experiences.

Also make sure you are on foundry version 12 as the the modules are not updated to version 13 yet (last I looked)
