Re: Errata & Clarifications, P9 Line of sight

"If the target model is partically obscured by another model line of sight is blocked and another target must be chosen."
Is this correct?

I whoudl guess it should be: "...another FRIENDLY model"...
It does change Overwatch as the partially intervening enemy can not be chosen as a target instead (only the activating enemy model partially behind).
In normal ranged attacks it seems strange (firing with sight partially blocked by terrain possible but not partially blocked by enemy models). Allied models are a better cover than terrain?

It totally makes sense you can not fire past friends risking to hit them (without some m-power or special gear/zone stuff).

The rules are correct. The idea is that since models (as opposed to terrain), are mobile, it's not possible to target a model behind another model (ie partially obscured).

Ok, thanks for the quick clear answer.
I get that the shooter, except in Overwatch, can just move and get a different angle possibly avoiding the issue. Will have to try find a workaround in Overwatch.

The action to move into overwatch, lets you make a medium move first. Overwatch is very powerful since you can shoot people when they are between cover. If allowing the overwatch model to also move, then it would just be an extremely powerful Move and Attack and everyone with a gun will do that action. It is up to you to position the move into a good overwatch position in the first place.

But any "workaround" or any other house rule has to be discussed elsewhere and not in this thread.

The Blue Cog icon on the Artefact cards is not described in the rules - I am assuming it is the Victory Point value un-Busted? (Why a different icon to the tokens?)
Did you ever get an answer-this threw us when we played on Sunday?

The blue cog icon is how many victory points the artifact is worth.
