Animal Crit values

Fri 10 Jan 2025, 00:53

The animals listed on p38 of the gm's guide don't list Crit scores, just damage,

Intentional? It sort of makes sense that the smaller animals can't inflict crits, but wolves and (especially) bears feel like they should be capable.

Any thoughts?

Animal attacks are a variant of unarmed attack (crit 4, armour +3). This most often means that it will do normal damage only, no crits (bears have a higher chance of causing a crit). Not totally unrealistic. The animal attacks you until you go down and then it will kill you.

So like martial arts, you can have the bear drop down a crit level to crit 3
