Sharing my expanded Panic Tables.

Sun 20 Oct 2024, 13:48

I really, really like the stress mechanics in the Alien: RPG. Very simple, very elegant, very true to the films. If you play the game a lot though (and why wouldn't you?) the same things to tend to come up over and over. I've expanded on the panic table on pg. 105 of the core rules with 18 new panic outcomes. The general severity is the same and determining which to use is straight-forward. I find this brings even more flavour to the game.

EDIT: I'm not sure the forum allowed my attachment so here is a direct link.

I hope people will see some use out of this. They'll included as part of a complete adventure when I'm ready to put that up but in the meantime please find attached (if the forum lets me. ;) ). All I ask is to not rehost somewhere else without attribution.

Feedback is always welcome!

Hi Teean,
What inspired you to create the expanded Panic Tables, and do you have a favorite new outcome that you feel enhances the gameplay most effectively?

Having 18 new panic results will definitely add more variety and depth to gameplay, keeping things fresh for players who might encounter similar situations frequently. It's a clever way to avoid repetition and enrich the game’s narrative.
