I'm sure I'll pick it up as I love this kind of stuff. Strictly speaking however, the 4e Referee Manual has the 1st Guards Tank headquartered east of Krakow; if folks are trying to adhere to the 4e history then they'll need to make some changes.

Well, yes, but the assumption is that it has managed to penetrate further west ... that this is days or weeks after the regular start date ... or that the intelligence data stating its location east of Krakow is, not at all shockingly (given NATO's complete failure to anticipate the Soviet offensive), wrong.
