Full cover

Sat 05 Oct 2024, 17:47

So if a model is touching the wall it is using as cover, it gets +4 defence die, and only +2 if not touching, in addition to any armour rolls? and does the damage to armour only come from the armor roles? Thanks

Besides that I haven't read all the cards, normally yes, armour can only be damaged through the armour roll. Cover doesn't take damage through the armour even though it uses the same rules.

So in theory you could have 6 dice for an armor roll? 4 for touching your cover and 2 for armor or even more if wearing more armor? But only the armor dice damage the armor

The easiest way is to just let the 2 (or 4) leftmost gear dice represent the cover and the other gear dice represent the armour.

Yeah that makes sense, thanks, but I’m trying to confirm if the cover dice can in theory be SO many?

Cover can be two or four dice.

Apologies, wasn't clear. 2 or 4 depending on how the model is with cover, but that is in addition to any/all armor that a character can wear?

Yes, although you can only have one armour of each type (Head, Body and shield).

Also if you want to add a logical little detail to this, roll for Cover first and then armour, because incoming fire will hit cover first and you (and your armour next) so there is a chance that you don't have to roll for your armour and risk damaging it.
