Running campaigns.

Wed 25 Sep 2024, 21:18

Just got the book and gm screen in the mail last week and have been flipping though the book. I just seen to be at a bit of a loss in how to make the game last longer then a few sessions for one trip for the group. The other games offer many ways to make a campaign last a while and seem to work well, this one seems more aimed for short games for short sessions and cons it seems for for some reason.

The art in the book is very cool though the the writing is also good.

Though the lack of really skills in the game seems off for some reason after playing twilight and just got done reading though tales of the loop this week.

They got 4 seasons (120 Episodes) of the Fugitive so I think a longer campaign could be done if you wish. The players are constantly on the run from a corporation or other powerful group. They show up somewhere do their thing but eventually have to move on as the bad guys catch up with them. Eventually, they gather what the need to confront the corporation or hide/escape for good.

The setting is much more about relationships and character development and much less about heroics so I believe that is why they went that way mechanics wise.

I may try Dragonbane's mechanics if I feel I need one.
