Questions About Dragonbane

Moderator Message: Original thread subject of the thread: Question About Dragonbane Editions Now That Free League Has The License, Core Box Set Question And Some General Comments

Hello, I'm wondering if Free League has said anything about future editions of Dragonbane?

The reason I'm asking: I come from DCC (Dungeon Crawl Classics) world - where basically the owner of Dungeon Crawl Classics said they aren't going to do different editions like Dungeons and Dragons does (0e, B/X, 1e,2e, 3e, 3.5e,4e, 5e 2014, 5e 2024) - which causes the players to have to re-learn the rules and buy different versions of the core books. Basically in DCC there's 1 edition core rules wise what they have now and that's it. Which is appealing to me.

Anyone know?

Also - I seen in the Free League English core box set, that there's an online errata needed for both the rules book and the adventure book - any idea if Free League is printing new core sets with the updated rules book and updated adventure book?

Thanks

PS - I wanted to show some enthusiasm and some congrats to Free League. Thanks for bringing Dragonbane for English only speakers. Dragonbane very much intrigues me - I've seen a lot of the comments on reddit and youtube regarding the popularity of it and how everyone is enjoying it. It reminds me a lot of DCC in that regard. I hope soon they have more dice options like different sets with the dragon D20 dice and maybe some more adventures in English to purchase. One can dream of an adventure regarding magical moustaches warriors (DCC lore) battling (or perhaps teaming up with) the ducks - ahh, maybe one day. I bet you Goodman Games would be up for that - they are pretty cool - a cross over! It would be really cool if Free League launched a kickstarter or backerkit of say a new monster manual of original monsters - I would totally back that. I hope as well you can get some of your products out to Amazon in North America like ebay.com and ebay.ca - maybe one day. When I called down to the local game store who has some of your products - they mentioned it was somewhat harder to get like only available when it's available vs DCC - they can just put an order in.

I bought the box set at the beginning of August, and everything was updated to reflect the corrections made in the second printing.

Good to know. Can I ask where you bought it from? Thanks

I bought it in Milwaukee from Old Guard Games, which is primarily a store for wargamers but had a decent RPG section (including, bizarrely enough, a sizable stash of 1990s R. Talsorian Games books including Cyberpunk 2020 and Castle Falkenstein).

Sidenote RTG's stuff is still in print. Both CP2020 and CPRed are current offerings.

Ah, I didn't realize that they had brought the older Cyberpunk books back into print--and certainly not Castle Falkenstein.
