Puppeteer psionic ability clarification

Thu 22 Aug 2024, 10:02

Hello!

Having a great time playing the game with friends but we would like to have clarification on the following things about the Puppeteer psionic ability:

1. Is it possible for the Puppeteer to push attack rolls with the controlled character? If so, does that generate M-points? Who would get the M-points if any are generated?

2. If a melee attack is performed on a friendly attacker, can the attacked character choose not to counterattack? I.e. if Ruben attacks Moose, can Moose choose not to counterattack? Or is Moose trying to defend himself and will counterattack?

2. If a model is broken by an attack performed by a puppeteered model, who, if any, gets Victory Points?

Thanks in advance for the feedback!

The Puppeteer card say "Their m-points cannot be used and rolls cannot be pushed", so no you can't push the attack roll.

2. If a melee attack is performed on a friendly attacker, can the attacked character choose not to counterattack? I.e. if Ruben attacks Moose, can Moose choose not to counterattack? Or is Moose trying to defend himself and will counterattack?
A model attacked in melee may make an immediate and free counterattack. This will be up to the player of the attacked model to decide.

2. If a model is broken by an attack performed by a puppeteered model, who, if any, gets Victory Points?
Interesting question. VP may differ from scenario to scenario but in Scenario 1 'Throw Down', the wording is "the attacking player" that is awarded the VP. It doesn't matter how the attacking player did it, what weapon or mutation/module he used. So the VP goes to the player that used Puppeteer.
