Sorry if this question already came up, but i did not found something.

In FL its possible to cast spells from grimoire which counts them one rank lower.

Safe cast gives you the option to reduce the "rank" to reduce mishap risk.

Is it possible to cast a spell from a Grimoire in the "safe cast" mode.

To get both benefits? The safe cast and the -1 to grim spells?

Yes, one of the core functions regarding grimoire in the game is safe casting.

So if you have rank 2 in your magic talent and cast a spell that is rank 1, you can safe cast it with -1, which means that if the spell is only power level 1, you don't have to roll any mishap dice. If you use a grimoire, you don't have to roll any mishap dice when cast the spell at power level 2.
