Well… looks derivative. Time for a really new take perhaps.

Yes I've been waiting for this ...

The last one that 20th century studio did was PREY which was released on Disney streaming. PREY was excellent and even super good. This time ALIEN ROMULUS they want to release it in theaters. I have a feeling it's going to be good.

spoilers ... the story takes place between Alien 1979 and Aliens 1986. Why? I think there will be references. Possible references to Alien Isolation and possible references to the first 2 films. I was thinking about Amanda Ripley's characters... we'll see...

To be continued ....

I also read that the effects of the monsters (xenomorphs) will be done the old-fashioned way with the Stan Winston Studio team who had already worked on James Cameron's Aliens.

They had done the special effects for the xenomorph Queen and the many xenomorphs in the film.

I like how it's a twin space station composed of, one old section called Remus with set designs harking back to Alien, and a newer section called Romulus with a more Aliens aesthetics. That's a cool way of bridging the span between the two films 8-)

All in all, this looks great! I'm very hyped for this movie, and I bet it will be very visually and thematically inspiring for GMs

Also, great demonstration of the Xenomorph XX121 species' SPRINT ability; Facehuggers are FAST!!!! :o

Twin space station called The Renaissance ... Part remus is Alien 1979 and ... Part Romulus is Aliens 1986 ... this is great.

Actor David Jonsson is an Android character ... don't want to spoil information too much here ....

I'm really hype about Romulus. The general synopsis and the return to the first 2 movies really intrigues me.

Wikipedia Synopsis: "Set between the events of Alien (1979) and Aliens (1986), the story concerns a group of young space colonizers who, while scavenging a derelict space station, come face to face with the most terrifying life form in the universe."

The 2025 Alien TV serie is another one I'm curious to see what they will do with it.

I agree with you Boneguard. My comment is very speculative but I think that the film Alien Romulus by Fede Alvarez will have a lot more action and we will be entitled to a lot of references and sequences that any "Alien 1979 & 1986" FAN has been looking to see again for a long time (I like the work by Ridley Scott in Prometheus and Covenant but he no longer wanted to give us all the thrills we had back then).

Noah Hawley's Alien Series will be more cerebral with corporate atmospheres and power games. This will be the power play of androids and synthetics too. Risk of humor (Timothy Olyfant is a very funny guy and usually into comedy) and quieter moments. Not much action I think. I have some doubts about this series. I have a lot more hope in Fede Alvarez's film.

I like this comment ...

They are really throwing it back at the old ship settings, the claustrophobic, the closed-in scenes ....

great ....
