Map MAking

Sun 21 May 2023, 16:29

Does anyone know how to make maps with hex grids for US or parts of the US in scale for use in the game? I am working on a MArrow Project Game using the T2k rules and need those types of maps.

My recommendation is Google Earth. You could also use google maps.
But TBH the screenshots of those look a bit bland, so you might want to photoshop them a bit with at least some filters.
Also here is one tutorial that uses stamen maps, a bit more work for sure but doable.

There's a bit of a learning curve, but you can create your own color profiles and get some pretty good looking maps. They also limit how many you can create for free, because the purpose is for companies using their API and not for gamers like us. It's a fair amount though, like 100 I think? Here's an example of one I made.
