A buckler can be worn on the forearm and is small enough that it doesn't need to be removed in order to wield a two-handed weapon. I'm not sure how effective it is as a shield at that point though.

In TOR 1e there was an Elves of Mirkwood Cultural Reward called Spearman’s Shield which was a buckler that added to Parry even while using a 2-handed weapon, usually a Great Spear.
Searching my TOR 2e PDFs I can’t find any restrictions on using a buckler and 2-handed weapon at the same time, so I agree!

It's no problem to use a 2h and a buckler:

I might need to check, but since it was a special virtue in 1e to use a buckler with a 2h-spear, I don’t think that works in 2e. It could be a balancing thing. A buckler gives +1 parry, could get +2. That with a 2h weapon is pretty powerfull.

Wrong. The guy in the video even says himself that it isn’t effective, ergo it wouldn’t ever be done in actual combat.

Yeah, the buckler seems to be more useful for archers than for those in melee with a 2-handed weapon. Otherwise, there are as many cons as pros. The medim shield slung across the body seems to be the most reasonable compromise.

It might not be a perfect combination, but it's still manageable. And besides the fact that it was indeed used in history in one or the other way (as shown in the video) and even video games made use of that (also shown), I think it's fair enough to say that in a fantasy game like TOR there's enough space for some fancy show and magic sword whirling that has nothing to do with reality. If all the heroes would fight like our ancestors did, it would look pretty boring on screen or in book. And as Skallagrim said at the end of his video: "If you train enough with it you might minimize the drawbacks."
So, for me it's a yes.

For me, it's a no.

Almost all 2-handed weapons deal higher damage and have higher injury rating than 1-handed weapons. If it was allowed, all melee characters would do it because it would be optimal. For this reason I would not allow players to wield a 2-handed weapon with a shield.

Regarding the comment on bows, page 66 specifically states you can't use a shield whilst shooting a bow.

No shield can be used with 2-handed weapons (not even a buckler).

If you draw a 2-handed weapon, or switch to 2-handed with a weapons that can be used 1-handed or 2-handed, you immediately lose the Parry modifier from your shield. You regain it as soon as you switch back to a 1-handed weapon.
