page 53: Manticore

Not necessarily a bug/mistake.
Just want to point out if you have a large party, say 7 adventures, you end up with a very fast(almost comically so) manticore, that can run through its entire moves list in 10 seconds(1 round).
Maybe add some health scaling instead?
(this might be a common problem with using ferocity as the main scaling for enemies)

I don't think the game is built around 7 players (very few ttrpgs are). You'd have only 3 initiative cards to go around for npcs and monsters, and considering sone encounters asks for double the number of npcs against the players this would mean the npc squads would be very large. You'd also shread monsters unless you make their ferocity higher, which would need a bigger initiative deck.

I'm running a game with 5 people and i'd argue that the game works best between 3-5 players. It gives the gm some wiggleroom for building their encounters without it "bloating" the game.

But on a side note, it is a manticore mutated by the portal, so you ciuld easily handwave it's speed as it being a part of it's mutation and its berserking mood

page 54: Demonic Alterations:

Are these supposed to be so positive?
The charisma penalty is easy to work around due to how skills work independently from attributes.
The natural protection isnt really described anywhere. Does this prevent a character from wearing armor? what happens if he as banes on the armory he fused with?

(the idea is very cool here, it just seems rushed/unfinished.
If the main bad guys of the setting are demons, maybe add a fully fleshed out section in the rulebook about demonic alteration and mutations)

EDIT:
the whole forced split of the party idea seem a terrible idea.
How do i run this? it seems to outright force meta-gaming / breaking of roleplay.
Those outside the portal would have to make choice after a day at most. A whole week is a lot of rations and just sitting around. Especially if the players have discovered other factions are moving about in the misty vale.

Request: please explain why this portal is not massive problem?

so there is a open portal to the bad guys city(does he live here all alone?). The portal works both ways, you can enter and leave. You can even meet the BBEG himself, the boss of the bad guy of the campaign.
He is going through a lot of trouble to get back to setting world, waking his servant from a slumber who wants a magic sword for some reason.
why doesn't he just go out through the portal? is he too big?

Whats with this "neutral" Hafamal elf who apparently thinks an open portal to a demon realm is fair price to pay for growing plants fast.

Maybe just need more lore/context as to why this isnt a big deal?

A possible idea could be the gate is not strong enough to allow big things through. A small demon could escape it but beyond "leaking" demonic energy it might not be able to bring any powerful demon or an army of smaller ones.

Hafamal might know this having been around the portal enough to deam it "safe".

Another angle is that the portal has always been small, only good enough to warp the land around it but not let anything through, but the cultists have only recently found the temple and are poking and proding at the portal. And maybe the three cultists who went through thought is was a very good idea to enlarge it, and want to expand it further via sacrifice.
