Feedback Mutation/Modules

Hi

We had a few playtest games and the basic game mecanisms work fine but some of the mutatuins/modules raises some issues and risk to ruin the game by being to powerfull or not clearely writen.

Physical Mutations

Four Armed – “When attacking in melee, the model makes one extra melee attack per M-point spent”. Risk to be very powerful, for example if you spend 4 M-pints shave fight: 5 and a Club with Bonus +2 each of the 4 attack will roll 7D6 and you can push them all, inflict a great amount of damage and generate many new M-points.

Suggested change of card text: “When attacking in melee, the model may add the Gear dice for 1 extra weapon carried and 1 base dice for each M-point spent”.

Spores – “All models within Medium distance suffer damage equal to the number of M-points spent”. Risk to clean the board if you have 6 or more M-Points, if so each target take 6 Hits and most are killed and removed from the game. Does this effect ALL models even friendly, if so the mutation have a good natural limit and can probably stay as written. Might want to shorten the distance to “Close”

Suggested change of card text: “Inflicts damage equal to M-points spent, distributed on models within Close range.”

Human PlantDoes they take damage of the attacks or just lose their activation?


Psionic Mutations

Parasite - “Steals a number of mutation (not module) cards from another model within Long range up to M-points spent.” Feels very powerfull, for 2 M-points you can remove all Mutation cards from an enemy. Can the model using Parasite use the stolen cards? Are they lost for the entire game?

Suggested change of card text: “Temporarily steal and use a mutation (not module) of another model within Long range as if your model had it, cost M-point as for the stolen Mutation. The Stolen Mutation can not be used this turn by its original owner.


Module

Grenade Launcher – “Make a ranged attack per M-point spent with no bonus, unlimited range, Area effect.” Extremely powerful, for example if you spend 4 M-points have Shoot 5 each of the 4 attack will roll 5D6 and you can push them all, inflict a great amount of damage and generate many new M-points.

Suggested change of card text: “Make a ranged attack add 1 gear dice for each M-point spent, unlimited range, Area effect.”

Tentacles - Does they take damage of the attacks or just lose their activation?

Energy Pulse Same issue as for Spores above.
