I recently purchased the Ruins of Symbaroum ruleset and quite enjoy it. How might I participate in the Alpha Feedback for the AC?

I would be eager to bring in some feedback as well. Any chance to get in via late backing or something else?

Just asked and received an answer. Feedback from active players who bought retail is not an option. Insights from kickstarter collectors are welcome though. :D

Feedback about The Promised Land

Page 7 : it is the only title page that does not state the intended level of adventurers.
Page 8 : Overview : « in mock combat (see page XX) »
Page 10, Caravan Guard Stat Block, « Corruption: 0/», should be 0/3
Page 11, 1st line : « artifact of the old kingdom (see page XX) »
Page 12, Keler stat block : Sleight of Hand should be +4, Stealth +4, Corruption: 1/4
An undead Future, 3rd § : « threatened by the elves (see page XX) »
Page 14, Mal-Rogan stat block : « artifact, see page XX »
Robber stat block : « Corruption 2/4 »
Page 15 : A Bit of History : « What Really Happened on page XX », « The Mark of the Beast (page XX) »
The Price of Firewood, last § : « see pages XX–XX for Lestra », « Belun’s entry on page XX »
Page 17, Jakaar stat block : misses the Proficiency Bonus in Challenge line.
Page 18, The Elven Camp, 2nd § : « See page XX for more details. »
Godrai stat block : Armor Class should be 15 with lacquered silk +1 Dex.
Ray of Frost is calculated (3d8) for a creature of Tier 3 level, thus +4 proficiency bonus. Not sure if it is intended.
Page 21, The Ultimatum, 2nd column : « to make out what is said, see page XX »
Page 22, Blight-born stat block, Berserker : « it is resistant to normal bludgeoning, … damage. » I suppose « normal » means non-magical, it could be clearer if this last formulation is used.
Ludo stat block : misses the Proficiency Bonus in Challenge line.
Page 23, Lestra stat block : misses the Proficiency Bonus in Challenge line.
Page 25, Peddler on the Road, 2nd column : « stats as Caravan Guard (page XX) »

The Mark of the Beast

Page 29, Baumelo stat block : One would expect a threshold based on Charisma as a Cultist, so « Corruption:7/8* » should be 7/10, and what does the * means ?
Ritualist : if based on Charisma « spell attack +4, saving throw 12 » should be +6, 14.
Page 30, A classic Opening, 1st § : « Vernam’s letter (described on page XX) », 3rd § : « in the tube (see handout on page XX) »
Player Introduction, The Iron Pact : « If the player characters have encountered the Iron Pack » Pact misspelled.
Page 31, last sentence : « “The Black Cloak Arrives” on page XX. »
Page 32, event description : « (see blood shrouding, page XX) », The murder scene, 4th § : « spell called blood shrouding (page XX) », penultimate § : « the Elvish writing (see page XX) »
Page 33, comments on letters’ drawing : « available for reproduction on pages XX and XX. »
Page 34, comments on letters’ drawing : « reproduced on page XX »
Page 36, Doorkeeper Godalg, 3rd § : « Mayor Nightpitch are also welcome (see page XX) »
Page 39, The Stable, 2nd § : « See page XX on how to follow »
Page 40, The Black Cloak arrives, 1st § : « from the first event (page XX) », Baumelo’s Aid, 2nd § : « the ritual heretic’s trail (see page XX) »
Page 43, The Witch hunter’s demand, last § : « use the given statblock (page XX) »
Page 44, Dreams of the King table : « Possession attempt (see page XX) »

Tomb of Dying Dreams

Page 48, The Gamemaster’s Preface, 4th § : « where several different agents are on the hunt », a bit clumsy, several and different is quite redundant.
Page 54, The Dead Wood, last sentence : « the Creeping Darkness (see page XX) »
Page 55, Keep, 2nd § : « strong enough to stop most anything », I would say « almost anything ».
Page 58, Goblin Bodyguard stat block : this new stat block is stronger than the chieftain with more hp and multiattack… Goblin Soldiers from the Bestiary could be strong enough with Dodge as bonus action, for 3rd level PCs.
Page 60, The Sinkhole, 1st § : « see The Monument Chamber, page XX »
Page 62, Xanatha stat block : Saving Throws Dex should be +11, Skills Stealth should be +11,
Poison Spit attack is made with Dex as a modifier (+6) but the damage is +7. And is it normal to apply a Dex bonus on a poison attack ? The initial damage is poison + poison condition, but then it talks about being « paralyzed », something the Poison Spit doesn’t provoque.
Web : As a ranged weapon, shouldn’t it use Dex modifier, thus +11
Page 65, Odako/Landela, 3rd § : « You can use the statblock on page XX »
Mal-Rogan/Tanfalls, 3rd § : « Use Mal-Rogan’s statblock on page XX. »
Page 66, Creeping Darkness stat block : Saving Throws should be Dex +9, Con +10, Wis +6
The Darkness as an adversary, 1st § : « in the way described on page XX » and « under the header The Treasure Chamber (see page XX) »
Page 72, Glowing guard stat block : there is no Breastplate in the RoS Player’s Guide. Maybe Chain and Plate ?
The Rune Covered Breast Plates : not sure if it is an inconsistency, but the text says « has a Constitution score of 16 » for the Servant while the Stat Block says 18 Con.
Page 73, The Burial Chamber, 5th § : « But it should be noted that when the Vile Water comes in contact with a body possessed by the King, it has even grimmer consequences than if it is consumed by a normal human being… » How so ? Nothing is specified, see later.
Page 74, The Table « Effects of the Vile Water » does not state any difference between normal and possessed characters, and the consequences could even be counter productive for the ancient King : « The character is unconscious for a week ». How can the King benefit from an unconscious body ? Or « The victim dies and the King’s spirit passes on to its eternal rest. » ??? What’s the point for the King ?
As a general statement, valid also for « The mark of the beast », what happens to the character if possessed ? It should be stated if some characteristics change, some immunities happens, like immune to charm… and if any spell can remove the possession.
Pag 74, The attempt to pry the flask … « and succeed at a DC 15 Wisdom saving throw to triumph over the King’s desperate resolve. » How can a physical contest to pry an object can result in a Wisdom saving throw ? Some GM will need some help to explain that. Is it some kind of fear effect, hypnotic gaze, etc ?
Page 75, The Treasures Table : it misses the page number for 5 artefacts.

Fever of the Hunt

p.80, Introduction : « In the deep of the hill hides an ancient and bloodthirsty hunter, on the run from a past prey, an Elder Sow circling the hill … » Maybe it misses a « and an Elder Sow ».
Last § : « see Possible Endings, page XX ».
p.82, Sorcerer wanted, last § : « among the Non-player Characters, page XX ».
p.84, The Great Fire, 2nd § : « see The Murder of Handelo, page XX »
p.85, The heart of the temple : « see the Eternal Hunter on page XX »
p.87, Sikander, former master of Ordo Magica, last § : « hiring all available workers (see page XX) » and « the dance of death will surely follow (see page XX) »
p.89, Karitian Warriors : « Village Warriors [as many as the characters] » it misses the page number in Bestiary.
p.89, Bodyguard stat block : Skills, Athletics should be +2, or maybe Acrobatics is meant.
p.90, The Eternal Hunter, bloodthirsty winter elf, last § : « new spell, see page XX »
Stat Block : AC should be 14 (12+Dex) with Woven Silk.
Longbow « Reach 5 ft. » looks like an error as it is a stat for melee.
p.91, Daythaler Swarm stat block : Tools « Reach 0 ft. » Some swarms have 0 ft. reach in 5E, but not all of them. Is seems counter intuitive that many daythalers with 5 ft. reach end up with 0 ft. reach when they team together. And I have the feeling it almost negates the point of « Sudden strike ».
Gylta, the Elder Sow, 1st § : « artifact, see page XX »
p.93, Gidjabolgo’s fake coins : I suppose the justification behind the fake coin is Gidjabolgo’s ability to use Minor Illlusion. Unfortunately, per the DD5 rules, a minor illusion does not move (https://www.sageadvice.eu/can-a-minor-illusion-move/) , is not bonded to an object (physical interaction is impossible, things pass through it), and lasts 1 minute and can be used only one at a time (recasting dispels previous castings). What’s described here is more like Silent Image, probably without concentration. So it could be stated that Gidjabolgo has such special power and not just a classical Minor Illusion, which is not that powerful, being just a cantrip (especially because players would use minor illusion to turn stones into diamonds after this adventure).
p.96, Arkali ’s claim, last § : « see The Serpent Temple, page XX » and Dreams of Blood 1st § : « dance of death (see page XX) »
p.97, The carnage on the hill, 2nd § : « dance of death (see the new spell on page XX) ».

The Bell tolls for Kastor

p.100, an old friend or lover, 1st § : « player character Darda (see page XX) » and text by the letter image : « the back of this book (page XX) »
It is a bit hard to understand how the characters can open the metal tube without breaking the vinegar capsule. It could be stated that the tube has a lock coded with 3 numbers, « 101 » being the code, and not just « a lock »…
p.102, Background, 2nd § : « the Scholarly Matters section (see page XX) » and Terato’ Dawn and the Spawn of Symbar, 5th § : « the Chieftain’s Axe (see page XX) »
p.107, The Slum district, 2nd § : « Silvercheek and the Legbreakers are survivors of a failed treasurehunting excavation » the dash looks like a typo.
p.108, Map : The « 6 » and « 7 » figures are on white background, is there a reason ?
p.109, The Town Hall, last § : « the Town Hall (page XX) » and « Captured! (page XX) ».
p.111, Darda stat block : AC should be 12 if the robes is base AC10, or 13 if it is a blessed robe as in Player’s. Dex bonus is +2.
Skills Religion should be +3.
Garala, secret heretic : « with the Spawn of Symbar (see pages XXXX »
p.112, Kagliostro stat block : Saving Throws Int should be Int +4, unless Cha is meant.
Equipment tome of ceremonies (see page XX)
p.115, Examining the murder scenes, last § : « This is actually Ardetta herself, see page XX »
p.116, Darda in the catacombs, last § : « see the description of Kastor, page XX »
The town hall, last § : « see Captured!, page XX » and Combat in the town hall : « see Captured! on page XX »
p. 117, The mysterious bell of Kastor, 2nd § : « see the Captured! Complication, page XX »
p. 118, Ardetta asks for help, last § : « see Terato’s Draught in the Appendix (page XX). »
The town watch’s raid, 2nd § : « Enlightened Cultists (see page XX) »
