I have just completed BGB:EttW (mentioned in a previous thread) and am in the process of releasing it on DTRPG under the Free League Community program.
It took seven weeks longer than I estimated, but also runs to just under 400 pages, not the 200-240 I originally estimated.
This ius a 'high adventure campaign' of small unit actions in a post Exchange USSR - Siberia, around Lake Baikal, initially -- not some hard scrabble Mad Max version of post apocalyptic howling wilderness of Poland or Sweden where every meal, bullet and litre of fuel is a virtually impossible quest to find and acquire ...
The premise is an uprising (a successful one) by the POWs of a GUPVI POW Camp near Severobaikalsk on the Baikal Amur Mainline offshoot of the Trans Siberian RR hooking up with the local separatist Partisans, the Baikal People's Army, and stumbling across a secret Magazine full of stockpiled obsolete WW2 and 1950's weaponry -- enough to allow the POWs to form a Brigade sized Task Force ('Battlegroup Blue') and leave lots over for the Partisans to form their own army.
BGB will attempt to emulate the exploits of the Czechoslovak Legion of WW1 and fight its way back home -- but will move west towards European USSR and drive through the remnant heartlands of a mortally wounded Soviet state ...
This will be the first part of at least two books covering their adventurous journey and is released as a single, complete, Campaign Book, Battlegroup Blue: Escape to the West -- Part #1: Severobaikalsk to Ust Kut (398 pages, US$34.99 from DTRPG), a fair chunk of money, I know -- but only ~8.8c a page rather than the 20-50c per page most recent TW:2000 projects charge.
However, I have taken on board complaints that this is a lot -- so I have done two things to reduce the pain --
Firstly I have divided the book into three parts at lesser cost individually, but at a premium when compared to the cost of the whole book --
* BGB:EttW - The Uprising (119 pages) -- $14.99 (just over 12.5 cents per page)
* BGB:EttW -- Defence to the West (90 pages) -- $11.49 or, again, just over 12.5 cents per page
* BGB:EttW -- The Ust-Kut Campaign (264 pages) -- $29.99or just under 11.5 cents per page
Secondly, I am releasing a sample adventure --
* BGB:EttW -- The Ust-Kut Central Post Office (19 pages) -- which will sell for $1 on DTRPG as a teaser, and which covers a single element of the last stages of the Battle for Ust-Kut. However, as a special deal for readers of this forum, it will be available as a free download through the attached Dropbox link through to at least the end of September.
