Silverfoxdmt73,

I wouldn't particularly recommend the Nautical/Aviation sourcebook - it was the worst GDW Twilight:2000 module produced in my opinion. Dodgy artwork, Dodgy statistics for the aircraft included, and the aircraft listed in the module from memory included some types that were not sensible for T2k and dubious even for Merc:2000, while more obvious types that were more appropriate for T2k were omitted.

Ah, okay. Thanks for the heads-up. I might see if I can find some alternative.

What aspects are you hoping to recreate?

At the risk of blowing my own trumpet, I put together some rules for aircraft and anti-aircraft systems for V2, which are posted on Board Game Geek (well, RPG-Geek:
https://rpggeek.com/rpg/1388/twilight-2000-2nd-edition , Files - Revised surface to air missile and aircraft damage rules).

If you want the PCs to be defending from air attacks, they might provide a decent starting point; if you want to put the PCs in the cockpit, perhaps not so much.

Thanks for that. I'll certainly take a look.

I just really wanted to include the threat of air attack, or the (limited) ability to field an aircraft or two on occasion. Perhaps the odd mission to secure an airfield or aircraft.

From a real world perspective, the greatest limiter is fuel quality. For some reason, aircraft engines stuttering or stalling is seen as a bigger problem than ground vehicles. Combine this with a question of whether non-kerosene based fuels have sufficient energy to weight ratios to make them worthwhile for general aviation (ie, not ultralights and the like.) The ones I referenced above are specifically burn avgas only. Capturing an airfield would be a great coup: if it regularly operates, there's definitely a store of high quality avgas (that most NATO vehicles are built to burn, natch.)

On drivethurrpg.com in the freelague workshop there is someone that has a very think book they put together that has states for gear and all kinds of ground units and a decent section on aircraft also you might want to check out. Hope this helps. I know it a bit much for money, but this one is pretty good for stuff.
