I am keeping a track of any queries FL are responding to about the new 5e LotRRP (their abbreviation). It may help you so they don't get bombarded with stuff.
Replies to queries on the following thread: https://www.facebook.com/FreeLeaguePubl ... ejRdb9xBSl

FL abbreviation for the 5e game: LotRRP

Delays to TOR releases?
Free League Publishing: “It will absolutely not delay TOR releases - quite the opposite, a larger playerbase for both TOR and LotRRP together will allow us to make more content for both. And releases will be for TOR first, then converted for LotRRP.”

Differences between AiME (Adventures in Middle-earth by Cubicle 7) and LotRRP?
Free League Publishing: “The main difference is that Lord of the Rings Roleplaying is based on TOR 2nd edition, not 1st ed. Upcoming LotRRP modules might work reasonably well with AiME, but they won't be 100% compatible.”

Compatibility with AiME?
Free League Publishing: “LotRRP is 5E like AiME was so of course there are similarities, but it will not be 100% compatible. Using AiME books with LotRRP or vice versa will likely require a little tweaking.”

Free League Publishing: “LotRRP is 5E like AiME was so of course there are similarities, but it will not be 100% compatible, no.”

Is this a remake of AiME with just a new cover or is it different?
Jacob Rodgers: “It is a new set of rules, following the second edition of The One Ring. Of course the core engine is still 5e but you will see plenty of new stuff.”

Thanks for this, godsent. Do you know if they said that they are going to adapt things like Ruins of the North Realm?

Probably covered by: "And releases will be for TOR first, then converted for LotRRP.”? So Ruins of the Lost Realm on general release some time in the next few months, followed at some point by a 5e conversion. Hope this helps! :)

I'm asking this because they probably won't adapt things like strider mode, or wilderland cultures/lifepaths, so I'm wondering about other "kickstarter stuff" like the rivendell compendium/ruins. Hell, is "Star of the Mist" going to be included?

They haven't said directly but I'd be surprised if the Ruins wasn't adapted. Not sure about the PDF only ones (like Strider Mode) but there isn't any reason not too.

Looks like the GenCon announcement is a preorder in the fall with release in spring. They will be releasing a Shire adventure at same time apparently. The art seems to be up to their high standards. Enworld article below.
