Convert AiME to TOR 2e?

Sun 06 Mar 2022, 00:29

Greetings,
I would like to convert my campaign and the player's PCs from AiME to TOR 2e. Are there any conversion rules available?
Cheers!

I don't believe there is anything available yet. In the absence of conversion rules, the simplest way is to recreate the characters as starting characters, then add bonus Skill and Adventure points sufficient to allow your group to recreate their characters sufficiently to feel like their AiME characters. If the group hasn't been adventuring very long, just figure out the number of sessions of play and give them 3 Skill Points and 3 Adventure Points for every full game session. If they have been adventuring for a while, you'll probably want to give out less so the characters aren't so capable that there isn't much left to challenge them.

Perfect, thanks! The PCs have only progressed to level 3 after x3 game sessions, still early enough in character development to switch over easily.

I wouldn't convert anything either. I mean, it's the same backround and AiME is actually a convertion of TOR into D&D5. So, just play TOR I'd say. The characters should also feel almost the same.
