Map Artwork

I really love the the art work on the maps...is there any change the artist might release a asset pack? I always like to keep the art style consistent and would like to make my own maps.

That's a nice idea. The previous editions came with bits and pieces you could photocopy, cut out and add to the maps. A digital version of that would be awesome.

I have a question regarding the unit icons on the maps. Some have a yellow bar under them and some a red bar. What do the colours signify?

According to standard NATO iconography, they mean either "degraded/damaged" or "destroyed."

Of course, there seems to be little relationship in the remaining strength of the in-game units and whether they are yellow or red. Most are red -- which implies incapable of action.

I don't know for sure, but it seems likely to me that these codings would at some point have been recalibrated to the reality of units in the field, post-1997. Everyone at NATO HQ and elsewhere knows there aren't going to be any more 20,000 man divisions!
