Do the PC:s take an additional action after a prayer?
We have played other products by Fria Ligan and have replaced the first roll with the improved roll, but it is still the same action. I am quite certain that in Coriolis you are supposed to roll, pray and then act again (e.g if you shoot and the pray, you fire an additional shot).
What do you do?

A prayer doesn't count towards your actions (i.e. it takes no time to perform).

The rules are pretty clear that the prayer doesn't count as an action. I'm wondering whether the action following the prayer counts as an action (or do you make an instant replay of the first action).

The push mechanism is not an extra action, it is part of your first action, you just add a prayer to that action.
