I used the color version from the book as my base map. And then for each location, I use a combination of theater of the mind to describe the interior and if there is a more tactical need, I'll create battle-map from scratch. I used the same approach with the Hollows with great success. Besides the color map of the Hollows I only needed to make a brief map of one of the taverns (re-used a generic map) and the main room of the Elder's house during for one big roleplaying scene.
One thing that helps, I marked each map location with a numbered token like on the GM map. I then cut-n-paste the zones description into the token's attribute bubble (I use the blue one), and then use a macro that whispers me the content of the bubble. That way I can instantly pull up the room's details in chat. In another bubble I post the description of the room that the characters get and use another macro to put that in visible chat after I read it to them.
