I've done much the same thing over the years. I've been playing with the same group since we were in middle school. We're all in our early 50 now. We've been slow with introducing new (modern) tools to our pen and paper session but as of recent, I have been things like sound effects and mood music to all of my games. I think adding some enhanced graphics like showing a fogged-of-war location map for some of the encounters would be a neat addition. But I'm not ready to turn my rpgs into quasi video games. Hence my attraction to the Forge Studio graphic style.
Anyway, I'm rambling. I appreciate this discussion as it has gotten my creative juices flowing.
