The characters are space truckers, specifically a group of aspiring chefs hired to improve cuisine on a remote world, travelling on the USCSS Gastromo. The journey out proceeds as planned and either during a planned maintenance window or when closing in on the destination they are all woken and go about their routines. However, that night someone makes a much-too-strong chili, giving the ship's name a secondary meaning. Can the characters survive the corrosive and sickly yellowish mist that starts to spread throughout the ship during the night, frying the ventilation system controls in the process? And what manner of hideousness forms in the dark corners where the mist is left unchecked?
