Crazy dwarf figther??!

Sat 12 May 2018, 03:06

I created an adult dwarf(strength key attribute), fighter(strength key attribute):
Strength 6
Agility 3
Wits 3
Charisma 2

Might 1
Endurance 1
Melee 3
Crafting 2
Move 1
Survival 1
Healing 1

He has an axe, a small shield(i selfruled that a large shield would not fit on a dwarf) and chainmail armor plus whatever helmet he can afford.
I chose axe fighter & shield fighter general talents.
He rolls 12!! Dice for attack(strength 6, axe 2, melee 3, axe fighter 1). Practically never missing and usually rolling massive amounts of damage.
He rolls 11 dice for parry(strength 6, small shield 1, melee 3, shield fighter 1) making him very hard to hit
He rolls between 6 and 9 armor rating (chainmail 5, helmet 1-4 depending on how much money is rolled to spend on helmet) making him hard to damage.
He seems too good being able to tackle allmost anything. It seems strange that a character this crazy can be made from creation.
Or am I missing something?

He is extreme but sure, yes he is good. In our first testsessions, one of my players was  just this character. He was tough sure, in melee. An extreme fighter should be tough. With so many dice, you usually rolls 1-2 successes all the time. But one day he will face multiple enemies and that will be difficult, even if he has the talent that gives him extra blocks. He will meet an extreme archer that never misses or a bloodmage that casts a Power level 5 Immolate or a backstab with a poisoned dagger from a rogue. They crazy dwarf is good, especially in melee.

The dwarf in my testsession died when facing a troll. The troll cheated, he smells :)
