What if instead of starting at D12, your pride started at d8 but increased by one step (from d8 to d10, from d10 to d12) every time you succeeded using the current pride dice? This would allow the newly created characters pride to grow over time based on actual exploits.

I also think it would be interesting to be able to include the pride dice before pushing the role, then you can push your pride but increase the chance of having your pride removed.

Just a thought.
