Re: Demons

By this,
I am reminded of the 'Lady of Pharis' manga for 'Record of Lodoss War'.

The way they set Demons was more of a mythical/arcane/otherworldly monster approach than in Christian Mythology/Lore...

Also the artwork was actually a perfect fit for FL, I think. Take a look:

Yes, I don't go for the Abrahamitic context here, which is connected to monoteism and good vs evil duality. Your links seem OK, but I try not to think antropocentric concerning demons – hard to tell for me if this is from these samples. Lovecraft is pretty good at not doing that as is the first Alien movie (aka ”before the Fall”)
I see :)

there were various breeds, not unlike how you described for FL. Some Anthropomorphic, some more monster-like and some bizarre things. All depending on the rank and place in their overall society. But since the story is told from the pov of the heroes some things were left vague.

Their queen looked like a brunette female human (the classic gothic femme type) but that was just a preferred form (most demons were born from her blood; with her sacrificing limbs in order to spawn various higher order ones)

Anyway, I am really liking where this is going. The lore the mechanics etc  =]

Oh, any chance we might see some of the lore in book form eventually? As in novels.
Or the famous other stories of some of the writers translated into English?

My Swedish is limited  to asking directions and initiating chats with girls I am afraid
