Ok, on p. 337 it reads that diseases and mind memes work like poisons. And poisons have a strength. Is it the same with diseases and memes. Is the strength also between 1 and 5, perhaps as high as 8? And which Attribute is used in the opposing roll? Or have I understand it wrongly?

You understood it correctly! Just as stated om page 337 - diseases and memes work jus as poisons with the same strengths (as described on page 113). As stated memes attack the mind. I would use WITS or EMPATHY depending on the effect of the meme. Diseases would mostly affect STRENGTH or AGILITY, but could affect WITS  (neurological disease) or EMPATHY (psychiatric disease).
