In the rulebook it states that Weapons and some other items need a lisence to be legally used.
It states 'All weapons require licenses that cost the same amount as the weapon itself, per year.'

My party will start off landing in Coriolis which I assume means they'll be scanned. Will their starting gear be lisenced, is this what is intended or do they just get the starting gear lisenced?

I'm interested to know the intent here and what people's gut feeling is rather than just a solution.
I feel the solution I will personally use is that they either won't have lisences or they'll need to renew their lisences very soon. Thoughts on this too though would be apreciated.

If would handle this by having security request that they either purchase licenses or surrender their weapons.

Assuming they can use an internet type check on the PCs to find out background info etc.
