I've watched seven episodes of the Expanse yesterday and will likely watch three more today. I'll say, it's good stuff with just the right amount of grit, and I'm getting to like the characters as well. You could easily pack the scenario into Coriolis I guess, especially the character roles encountered there seem to match Coriolis' set surprisingly well. Religion is mostly off the table in the Expanse though, you'd have to add that.
Few things irk me about the Expanse series as of yet, but if I had to name any concerns, I'd say that even though the space battle sequences are pretty damn neat, ship design is rather uninspired and could have a bit more of a fantastical/ornamental vein for me. Also, the story centers on some young white dudes a liiiittle too much. There are definite exceptions, but I often feel as if they had alibi character.
