Work Points

Fri 20 Mar 2015, 16:48

Could you please clarify the Work Points paragraph on page 103? It states:

"a Palisade needs 4 Work Points for a group with four PCs, but only 2 Work Points in a group with two PCs"

Except that on page 104, the Defenses project states:

"Palisades,earthworks..." "Work Points: 2 x number of PCs"

Also, could you explain the how you determine the number of Work Points required for a project? For example, why would a Pigsty project require 2x and the Temple project only require 1x ?

Thank you!

Hi and welcome to the forum!

The paragraph on page 103 is wrong - a Palisade (Work Points: 2 x number of PCs) would require 8 Work Points for a group with four PCs. Thanks for spotting that!

The multiplier simply indicates how hard the project is to complete. A pigsty requires not only the pen itself, but also getting ahold of the animals in the first place. Not always an easy task! :)
In general, a project with a higher multiplier will also have a bigger effect.
