First, sorry to be dim, but do I understand correctly that I will receive a code giving me access to all the TOR material that I have already purchased at some point closer to launch? If yes, will this offer be free or at some greater discount than the Unbound Digital Only prices during the Early Access period? I already have everything for TOR, both print and digital.
You will receive a code to unlock the PDFs you already own on Unbound for free if you ever need to re-download them or want everything all in one place.
For the Unbound digital tools version, that is an entirely new offering that you don't already own, and they have a cost associated with them. The "Unbound digital only" price that is currently in the store is already discounted with introductory pricing while we are in Early Access.
Second, I imagine plans are in flux, but it would help greatly if I understood what the roadmap for this product is. I am a LM with players that are both co-located and remote. We use Discord for voice and posting maps / images. I keep my planning and notes in Obsidian. I would like to understand how this product would help us.
Lastly, one of my friends/players recently became a quadriplegic. While gaming is nowhere near the top priority right now, if this was something that would somehow enable him to keep playing in the future (and LMing - he loves it so much he started running two other groups himself) I would gladly go all in.
We have a well-defined roadmap that we will share more about closer to the full launch of the platform, but I can share now that the digital toolset provides access to all of your content to read on the go on any type of device, as well as global search and listing-style presentations of key rules elements for the content to get answers quickly, and - soon - a step-by-step character builder and interactive digital character sheet with digital dice rolling (that will be share amongst the whole group to see results). I suggest that you try out the character tools when they come to see firsthand how it can enhance the experience for your group - or in the meantime, you can check out the Digital Reader and Game Compendium portions in Early Access, as we've seen those features are helpful even by themselves for many.
As for your friend, I'm truly sorry to hear about that misfortune. As I don't know all of the context of their situation, it would be difficult to speak for exactly how much these tools will help him play, but I can say that generally, digital tools like this increase accessibility, and the planned features could provide a means to prep for games and connect and play with your group.
Thanks!
