Re: Estelang is Gurthang?

Whoops. Broadbeams is correct. And I believe it may have been your article in Other Minds that gave me that idea in the first place!
.
I'm glad that the article was helpful!
.
I started (and abandoned) to develop an adventure that involved a descendant of the Dwarf-city of Belegost organizing an attempt to recover the pearl Nimphelos from the vaults of the ruined city. The pearl was a gift from Thingol to the Lord of Belegost as part of the payment for the delving of Menegroth. Before that, Círdan had gifted Nimphelos to Thingol. Part of the adventure would have had the company discover a cave or abandoned Dwarf-mine that had been used as a shelter by King Arvedui of Arthedain and his followers as they fled from the forces of Angmar. It was also here when I created a pack of White Wolves led by a White Wolf/Warg hybrid.

Apart from any other consideration, if Gurthang is buried by Túrin, both of them are under the waves, after the sinking of Beleriand.
Well, no... Tol Morwen (the burial place of Túrin) rides above the sea, being a mountain top, as it were. Otherwise, Túrin Turambar couldn't fight in the final battle of the world, known as the Dagor Dagorath. And we know he will.
