The disease roll in Alien 1st edition is an opposed roll (vs. Virulence) and a single modified roll in the Evolved edition.Huh. Those're opposed rolls? I learn something new everyday.

Yes, for managing disease virulence, in the Evolved Edition, you need to use a negative modifier. The opposed rolls (used in the 1st edition of Alien RPG) that user Davidcore is discussing is a "house rule" of his own that he kept.
