How does its Dreaful Spell work? Details say it will raise "a" Forgotten dead for 1 Hate expanded, but introduction paragraph for the adversary talks about "...the entity can reanimate the rotten corpses of past victims (one for each player-hero..."

Does this mean there is a cap of 6 (additional) Forgotten dead (having 6 total Hate), perhaps with the creature starting with one corpse for each player-hero; or to the opposite of the spectrum that each use of the Spells reanimates one for each player-hero??

I read it as the starting situation is evil in the shadows plus a number of forgotten dead equal to the number of heroes. Then it can use its fell ability as written to add more forgotten dead if it wants, at the cost of shadow.

I've followed the landmarks instructions, and it has led me to this unclear instruction that I have reproduced and thought about before posting here. I was not asking how I can just decide what I should do however I want since I'm Loremaster, but the actual intent as printed or deduced by the wording.

That's an excellent question, Doktor; I haven't done that landmark yet. I think Harlath's answer is correct. The creature awaits the player-heroes with "an equivalent number of forgotten dead already present," and subsequently, the creature can bring back other forgotten dead depending on its "hate" limit. I think that's it, but I haven't read the text.
