Missing interesting factor in Alien RPG

Sun 28 Nov 2021, 03:31

So this is my first post. I am a long time Alien fan. I remember the dark horse comics that brought the substance Zeno-Zip into Alien lore. I am curious why this drug has not been included in the Alien RPG and if it could possibly be added in an upcoming expansion book, say for the Corporate Executive book? I think it would have a interesting wrinkle in the Alien RPG storyline.

The Alien RPG CRB is originally set in 2180.
Chariots of the Gods is 2183 and the CMOM is in 2184.

The Xeno-Zip is post those dates according to the lore I'm reading. Hence, does not exist yet.

That, and a lot of the old stuff has been retconned out as Prometheus, Covenant, and new EU stuff is trying to create a unified version of the Alien 'Verse (how successful this is so far, YMMV). So things like Xeno-Zip may no longer exist in the new canon.

Though the Devs for the RPG seem to like at least alluding to some of it. The core rulebook alone, I've noticed, is chalk full of references to the original Aliens comic trilogy by Dark Horse and the Steve Perry trilogy of novels based on it.
