Tow, tow with your boat...

Thu 26 Mar 2020, 17:31

May be this question have been answered anywhere else, but:
There is a hard limit or value to the weight or size of the ships/platforms/whatever trata a ship can tow (Dunno, 2 levels bigger, 10×weight of the ship...)?

I've searched values or information related with this issue, but had found nothing.

Any ideas?

And, in the same line of enquiry, there is rules related with platforms, stations or cargo barge building (Anything like the ship building rules)?

I would assume the limits are only set as the story narrative needs them to be.

So, if the GM can build drama and tension in the scenario because the characters are confronted with a cargo that may be potentially to large or heavy to tow, that's one thing, but I wouldn't necessarily need a set of rules to put limits on what a commercial Bison class hauler is able to tow.

It's sci-fi, it can tow as much as it needs to.
