Do elves procreate with other elves or are they all immortal/eternal?

Moderator Action: I moved out this discussion from the errata thread since this is a setting discussion not an errata.

They normally don't, but might procreate with other elves or other kin out of curiosity. The elf-elf offspring doesn't get a ruby, so tragedy might ensue (adventure hook). Elf are known to have multuplied by splitting their rubies, where the ruby shards might or might not grow to full size in each offspring, but the parent will be lost or changed. This probably has to take place in the Stillmist. On the whole, elves don't procreate as a means to keep their kin going, but from other reasons, perhaps to get company. They last as long as their ruby lasts.

The Stillmist is a specific location in the Ravenlands. We know the Bitter Reach is an ancient elven Kingdom also attached to the Stillmist, but other places would then be wholly disconnected to it. Are there other Stillmists/Stillmist like places? Or is the Stillmist just the location where the Elves that know what to do reside and other knowledgeable elves in the rest of the world could accomplish the same things without the special location? Do Elves just not exist in any real capacity in the rest of the world?

We don't really know that yet. I suspect the Stillmist is a place outside the ordinary world, and it migh be that there are more Stillmists in the world that lead to the same outside place. That doesn't necessarily mean that you can use the Stillmist as a transport device between different maps, since you might need to exit where you came from. Again this might be regulated by the elder elves rather than a physical law. We simply don't know yet.
