Bitter Reach - skis and snowshoes

Mon 10 Aug 2020, 11:22

I have been reading Bitter Reach and my group have started playing it. Skis and snowshoes are very important when traveling in the Bitter Reach but I need info on how much they costs and how to build it. And if there are any differences between skis and snow shoes.

Great question. I wasn’t entirely sure about this. I had a ski-maker in one village who wanted good iron tools and he was willing to trade the skis for those, my players ended up giving up a timber axe and a hakapik for a couple pair.

Snowshoes: Go anywhere, albeit slowly, and inexpensive.

Skis: Faster, more fun, and more elegant, but expensive, and easy to find yourself with too much or too little ski if you don't or can't pick a line with consistent topography.
