I actually got clearance for this from the league right away. So what we're looking at is a year divided in eight phases with festivals at the transitions. We have the four ordinary seasons with midsummer in the middle of summer (duh). The phases will probably be named: Springrise, Springwane, Summerrise, Summerwane etc., easy to remember but still with a certain odd flavour. To avoid petty stuff like ”leap years” and the like, the church leaders simply decide when festivals will take place each year. This results in the festivals sometimes being celebrated at different days since they can't agree and don't even listen to each other. I'll be back with the detail and names of the festivals. What I would like are festivals and I'm leaning towards something using the Wiccan calendar as a base since it's built on the year's phases.

Perhaps eight ”months” between these would be nice?
That sounds great - and should make it in the booksI actually got clearance for this from the league right away. Cool. Are you naming the festivals, the periods between the festivals, or both?Writing it now!
Festivals yes – I will probably ”nordify” the keltic original ones. Seasons I thought should just be as I said above: Springrise, Springwane etc.Cool. Are you naming the festivals, the periods between the festivals, or both?Writing it now!
